The AQUILLA Trike

The Aquilla trike is an extremely versatile and agile aircraft. Capable of navigating a wide range of terrain, it has an incredibly low stall speed that allows you to take off or land on a dime.

When the Aquilla was conceived in South Africa, safety was the highest priority on the list and the old adage "keep it simple and less can go wrong" was the objective. The Aquilla was designed to have the greatest strenght-to-weight ratio. It's durability has been well proven in training schools, and it has a positive trim that ensures a great measure of stability.

Composite propellors are mounted on the Aquilla Microlight giving it an exceptional propellor/wing clearance. Maintenance is minimal. All components are both easily visible and accessible, making pre-flight inspection easy and convenient.

Features of the Aquilla include: Safety cables, extra large tubing, nylon bushes in all stress concentration areas, clear fuel tank for increased fuel level visibility, fuel gauge, water drain in the fuel tank, high grade quality aluminium tested to aircraft specs,  and a durable non-stretch cloth specially designed for Microlights is used on crucial parts of the wing cover.

The Aquilla seating is the roomiest among Microlights. With its uniquely curved pylon, the passenger has ample headroom and extra spacious seat. The Aquilla comes fully equipped with dual bucket seats providing for full back support and a secure relaxed in-flight feeling. Full suspension and large wheels make this one of the world's most versatile Microlight.

In all, the Aquilla makes for a strong, reliable and robust aircraft that is fun to fly.Our trikes are equipped with a Rotax engine, E series gearbox, electric start, 3 blade carbon fibre prop, full front/rear suspension, T-Pod, wheel pants & saddle bags, fuel gauge, 13 gallon tank with sump and built in quick drain, extra wide tyres, parachute, full instrumetation and the latest communication and intercom systems.
